Why this library exists
Reliable information about photobooks is scattered across publisher archives, bookstores, libraries, marketplaces, reviews, and collectors’ records. Different editions are often mixed together, important physical details are omitted, and a cover image may not match the recorded ISBN.
This project brings that evidence together so a visitor can identify the right book, understand why it matters, and make a better-informed decision about discovering or collecting it.

What you can explore
Browse books through their covers, follow the work of photographers, and explore the catalogs of publishers. Book pages bring together edition details, physical specifications, editorial introductions, related market evidence, and links for further discovery.

Research before certainty
Metadata is compared across multiple sources whenever possible. ISBN, title, photographer, publisher, publication year, format, dimensions, and other edition-specific facts are treated as evidence to reconcile—not as fields to copy blindly.
Automated research and AI-assisted tools help organize the work, but uncertain claims are separated from verified facts. The catalog is revised as stronger evidence becomes available.
