Biography
Matthias Heiderich (born 1982 in Bad Hersfeld, Germany) is a Berlin-based German photographer known for his vividly colored, minimalist, and geometric interpretations of contemporary urban architecture. Originally trained in linguistics and phonetics, with an MA from Trinity College Dublin, Heiderich is a self-taught photographer whose work focuses on architectural details, pastel tonalities, strong contrasts, and precise compositions. He creates highly graphic, people-free cityscapes that transform everyday structures into abstract visual environments defined by patterns, lines, and color harmony. Heiderich has exhibited internationally in Berlin, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and San Francisco, and is regarded for his distinctive color-driven approach to urban photography.
