In this volume, British conceptual artist Jonathan Monk utilizes a series of 24 amateur snapshots taken by a fan during a Morrissey concert in Berlin. By mirroring each photograph on its opposite page, Monk transforms raw concert documentation into a series of symmetrical “Rorschach” tests. This formal intervention invites viewers to reconsider the relationship between the idol and the spectator, turning crude fan photography into a sophisticated investigation of spatial perception and the legacies of 1960s visual art.
