Seabound: A Logbook is a photographic journey through the dramatic landscapes of the Norwegian coast, specifically Sørlandet (the Southland). Commissioned by the Nicolai Tangen Collection, Finnish photographer Elina Brotherus captures the interplay between the human figure and the vast rocky archipelago and mountains of the region. The work often references art history and performative event scores by artists such as Yoko Ono, VALIE EXPORT, and John Baldessari, blending 19th-century Romanticism with contemporary performance. The book was selected as one of the most beautiful books of 2021 by the Finnish Book Art Committee.
