Nowhere Near

Nowhere Near

Description

Brad Rimmer photographs the community halls of Western Australia’s Wheatbelt, spaces once used for dances, meetings and other shared occasions. Some survive in changed use; others stand empty or have disappeared. Completing a trilogy with Silence and Nature Boy, the book considers what remains as rural communities change. Poems by John Kinsella accompany the photographs, adding another voice to its attention to memory and place.
