Description

Lost Downtown explores the architectural remnants and deserted urban landscapes of a decaying city center through Peter Hujar’s stark, black-and-white photography. The images capture the silent textures of worn buildings and empty streets, evoking a mood of isolation and historical passage.

Lost Downtown is a concise collection of 56 pages, offering a focused study on the physical traces of urban transformation and neglect. Published by Steidl in 2016, the work positions itself as a quiet reflection on the layered narratives embedded in city decay.
