Alessandra Sanguinetti employs a quiet, observational photographic strategy in Some Say Ice, capturing moments that navigate the delicate interplay between memory, time, and the often fragile nature of youth. The imagery unfolds with a contemplative mood, emphasizing subtle gestures and the ephemeral qualities of light and shadow.
The book, published by MACK in 2022, spans 160 pages that explore the nuanced emotional landscapes of its subjects, blending intimate portraiture with broader reflections on existence. Sanguinetti’s work resists easy categorization, inviting the viewer to engage deeply with the layered narratives embedded in everyday scenes.
