Description

Exploring the interplay of time and memory, Past Present by Justine Tjallinks employs a visual strategy that investigates how past moments persist within contemporary settings. The photographs engage with themes of temporal layering and the coexistence of histories in the urban landscape.

Throughout 160 pages, the work unfolds a contemplative mood that invites reflection on the accumulation and erosion of cultural and personal histories. The images often juxtapose archival elements with present-day scenes, creating a dialogue between what was and what remains.
