EWA & PIOTR is a visceral and cinematic photography monograph by Italian artist Lorenzo Castore. Published by Les Éditions Noir sur Blanc, the book documents Castore’s 15-year journey alongside Ewa and Piotr, a couple living in a small, soot-stained apartment in Kraków. Spanning 200 pages, the narrative moves away from traditional documentary toward a deeply subjective “visual ledger” of a life lived in full. Castore captures the couple’s shared ecstasy and their heavy “blues”—the cycles of addiction, the tenderness of their bond, and the physical toll of time.
