Published by Photography West Graphics in 1993, Paul Caponigro: Masterworks from Forty Years was conceived as the first chronological survey of Caponigro’s photographic career gathered within a single monograph. Its four-decade span makes the book more than a selection of favored pictures: chronology becomes an editorial structure through which sustained concerns, shifts in emphasis, and the development of a photographic language can be considered together.

The volume brings established works into sequence with numerous photographs that had not previously been published.
