Them is a significant photography monograph by American artist Rosalind Fox Solomon, published by MACK. Created as part of the multi-artist project “This Place,” the book documents Solomon’s five-month residency in Israel and the West Bank. Using her signature unflinching style and square-format lens, Solomon captures the complex human landscape of the region, focusing on individuals from vastly different backgrounds—from soldiers and refugees to religious leaders and ordinary families. The 45 black-and-white images move beyond political headlines to offer an intimate, often uncomfortable look at the shared domesticity and distinct psychological tensions of life in a contested land.
