Description

The Devil’s Playground is the most significant and comprehensive publication of Nan Goldin’s career to date. Arranged in autobiographical sequences, the book chronicles her life and the lives of her “extended family” through themes of addiction, recovery, birth, and loss. It features previously unpublished series alongside her iconic classics, creating a soul-baring narrative of intimacy and the passage of time. The photographs are famously interspersed with curated texts and lyrics, making it a definitive record of her artistic evolution since the mid-1990s.
