Life is Elsewhere adopts a deeply introspective and experimental visual approach to explore themes of identity, memory, and existential dislocation. Sohrab Hura’s photography employs fragmented imagery and layered compositions, creating a mood that is both intimate and unsettling.

The work traverses personal and collective narratives through dense visual textures that challenge conventional storytelling. Flickers of surrealism and abstraction punctuate black-and-white and color photographs, evoking a sense of searching and displacement.

Published by Ugly Dog in 2015, Life is Elsewhere consists of 144 pages that invite extended contemplation on the boundaries between reality and perception.
